RaonSecure’s TouchEn OnePass Tops 10M Users in Japan
(Seoul, April 6, 2026) RaonSecure has secured over 10 million users in Japan’s digital authentication market, establishing itself as a key player. RaonSecure (Co-CEOs Soonhyung Lee and Junga Lee, 042510), an AI security and authentication platform company, announced that the monthly active users (MAU) of its AI-based biometric authentication platform, “TouchEn OnePass,” surpassed 10 million in Japan last month. TouchEn OnePass enables convenient and secure user authentication using biometric data—such as fingerprints, facial recognition, and vein patterns—without the need for passwords or separate certificates. As a subscription-based model where user growth directly translates into revenue, the increase in MAU has driven stable recurring revenue generation. From a technology standpoint, the platform became the world’s first to obtain certification from the FIDO Alliance, a global body for biometric authentication standards. More recently, it has also incorporated an AI-based proactive security system capable of detecting and blocking anomalous activities in real time. Since launching TouchEn OnePass in Japan in July 2020, RaonSecure has steadily expanded its presence in the local market. Last year, the company further strengthened its foothold by signing supply agreements worth approximately KRW 3.5 billion with Japan’s largest internet bank, Sumishin SBI Net Bank, and its subsidiary, Neobank Technologies. Adoption has continued to grow across various sectors—including finance, education, and research institutions—driving a sharp increase in monthly active users (MAU). In detail, it took about four years to reach 5 million MAU after launch, but less than two additional years to double that figure to 10 million. Following its initial market establishment, the growth rate has more than doubled, with the platform recently adding around 200,000 new users per month. This demonstrates that TouchEn OnePass has moved beyond early adoption and entered a full-scale expansion phase in Japan. Amid rising demand for passwordless authentication and tightening security regulations, RaonSecure’s early commercialization of FIDO-based authentication has proven to be a successful strategy. The milestone of surpassing 10 million MAU is significant not only as an expansion of overseas users, but also as a signal of RaonSecure’s potential to extend its business across Japan’s broader digital trust market. The operational experience accumulated across finance, education, and research sectors is expected to serve as a strong foundation for future market expansion. In response to the growing importance of identity verification and access control in the era of Agentic AI, RaonSecure plans to further expand its digital trust infrastructure business by leveraging the technology and operational expertise built through OnePass. The company is also advancing authentication systems that encompass both users and AI. Soonhyung Lee, Co-CEO of RaonSecure, stated, “Surpassing 10 million MAU for TouchEn OnePass demonstrates that our technology and market-tailored service strategy have translated into tangible results in large-scale, real-world environments. As the importance of digital authentication continues to grow with the rise of Agentic AI, we aim to evolve into a global digital trust infrastructure company that encompasses both humans and AI.” Meanwhile, RaonSecure participates as a voting board member of the FIDO Alliance alongside global technology leaders such as Google, Microsoft, Samsung Electronics, Amazon, and Apple. Building on its achievements in overseas markets, the company continues to strengthen its position by contributing to the development of international standards for digital authentication.
